St Mary & St Michael Stoke Charity

Further content awaited

John Betjeman said of St Mary and St Michael, Stoke Charity, ‘this gem-like little church is a veritable treasure house of beautiful things and in itself it is also of great beauty.’ He was right! From its idyllic location in a field near a lake, to its well preserved Norman interior and numerous monuments, it is a place of beauty. Come and visit this stunning small medieval church set in a field in the lovely village of Stoke Charity 5 miles north of Winchester. Full of interesting history, tombs and brasses to rub, it is also full of life, with regular Book of Common Prayer Sunday services including sung Psalms, as well as monthly informal, interactive Family Services followed by fresh coffee and craft activities for the children. The church is open every day 9-5pm.
